Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the product is used so we can improve it. We do not enable advertising features, and we avoid sending data that directly identifies you (such as names or email addresses). Analytics data may be processed on Google servers outside Australia.

Analytics cookies are opt-in for UK visitors. In other markets, you can opt out by blocking Google Analytics scripts or requests in your browser, or by using Google’s opt-out tools. Declining analytics does not affect core product features.

TikTok Content Publishing

AuDrive publishes its own driving-test route videos to AuDrive's official TikTok account using TikTok's Login Kit and Content Posting API. This integration is used only by AuDrive administrators to post AuDrive-produced content to AuDrive's own account. It does not post on behalf of, and does not access the TikTok data of, AuDrive users.

When an administrator connects the account, we receive that account's basic profile information (open ID, username, nickname, and avatar) through Login Kit to confirm which account content will be posted to. When publishing, we send the selected video, its caption, and the chosen post settings (visibility and interaction options such as comment, duet, and stitch) to TikTok. We do not receive analytics or audience data about the published content beyond the post status returned by the API.

TikTok's processing of this data is governed by TikTok's Privacy Policy.

Sharing and Disclosure

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We may share data with trusted service providers who assist our operations under confidentiality obligations.
• Route requests (for example, to plan or recalculate a route) are sent to our mapping provider, Mapbox, and may include your location.
• We may disclose information to comply with law or protect rights, safety, and property.
• We may share aggregated or de-identified data for analytics and quality improvement.

Location and GPS Data

AUDrive collects precise location data only when you actively use the GPS practice recording feature. Location data is used to record your driving practice routes, provide real-time navigation, and analyse your driving performance. Background location access is requested solely to ensure uninterrupted recording during practice sessions.

During a practice session, AUDrive also uploads a diagnostic log with your practice recording. It includes the navigation prompts that were spoken, button actions on your phone or car display, the type of car display connected (Apple CarPlay or Android Auto) and its screen settings, on-screen notices such as network or GPS problems, the route from your location to the practice start point, and numeric driving measurements taken every few seconds (such as speed, heading, accuracy and distance from the route). We use this to investigate problems and improve navigation.

The AUDrive app also sends short diagnostic records about what happens before a practice starts, whether or not you are signed in: when the app is opened, when a car display connects or disconnects, when a route is picked and whether the start was accepted, refused or timed out, and how long each step took. Each record carries the app and system version, the route picked, and a random identifier created when the app is installed, which changes if you reinstall and is not linked to your device or advertising identifiers. If you are signed in, the record is also linked to your account. These records do not include your location or anything you type. We keep them for 30 days and use them only to investigate problems.

You can disable location access at any time through your device settings. Without location access, GPS recording features will be unavailable, but you can still browse routes and other content.

Data Retention and Security

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above and take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

If you delete a practice recording, it is removed from your account, but we may keep a copy of the recorded track and parts of its diagnostic log for internal analysis until your account is permanently deleted. The route from your location to the practice start point, and the spoken prompts, are cleared when you delete the recording.

Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from the Settings screen within the app. When you request account deletion:

• Your account will be immediately deactivated and you will be signed out.
• Any active subscriptions will be cancelled.
• Your account enters a 30-day recovery period during which you can restore it by signing in again.
• After 30 days, your account and personal data (name, email, login credentials, GPS recordings, favourites, and notifications) will be permanently deleted.
• Content you contributed to the community (such as submitted driving test routes that have been reviewed and published) may be retained as part of the platform's public content, with your identity disassociated.

Your Rights

You may access, update, or request deletion of your personal information, subject to applicable law. You can withdraw consent for data collection by revoking permissions in your device settings or deleting your account. To exercise your rights or ask questions, contact us at [email protected].

Children

AUDrive is not directed to children under the age where parental consent is required by law. If you believe we have collected personal information from a child, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page. We encourage you to review it periodically.

On 9 October 2026, AUDRIVE TECH took over the AUDrive business and now handles your information under this policy.
