Route 1825 runs 7.0 miles in about 28 minutes as a single stage, taking in Chiswell Green, How Wood, St Julians and Cottonmill. Limits cover 20, 30, 40, 60 and 70 mph. With only 10 turns split evenly, 5 left and 5 right, it asks less junction work than the tightly wound residential routes at the St Albans test centre, but adds three roundabouts and 14 sets of traffic lights.

Watch Out For

  • Six give way junctions, several clustered at the southern end of the loop.
