Watch Out For

• Ten sets of traffic signals, so junction observation and smooth stopping come up again and again.
• Two roundabouts, where you give way to traffic from the right and signal left on the exit.
• Thirteen turns in total, seven of them right turns that cross oncoming traffic.

Route Features

Four separate 40 mph stretches, including the run near Warwick Lane, sit between longer 30 mph residential sections around Hacton Lane and The Broadway.

Test Manoeuvres

Expect a pull up on the left, so choose a legal, safe kerb, secure the car, then check mirrors and blind spot before moving off.

Key Tips

Change speed promptly at each 30 to 40 mph transition, and take a lane position early for the seven right turns.
