Route 1904 covers 7.0 miles in about 28.6 minutes as a single stage, linking Havering, Elm Park and Gidea Park at 30 and 40 mph. It is one of the shortest routes at this test centre, yet it still packs in eleven turns, two roundabouts and four sets of traffic signals, so the workload per mile is high.
Watch Out For
- A stop sign, which is rare on these routes and requires a full stop behind the line before you creep for a view.
- Two roundabouts, giving way to the right and signalling left on exit.
- Six right turns against oncoming traffic, plus five left turns into side roads.
Route Features
One 40 mph section breaks up mostly 30 mph driving, taking in Upper Rainham Road before the quieter residential turns near Butts Green Road and Billet Lane.
