Route 1911 covers 7.5 miles in about 30 minutes as a single stage through Foots Cray and White Oak, east of the Sidcup centre. Limits run from 20 to 40 mph, with 40 mph sections forming much of the drive. It is one of the shorter of the 14 reviewed routes here, but five sets of traffic lights put it above most routes from this centre.

Watch Out For

  • Five signalled junctions, so choose your lane before the stop line.
  • The 40 mph section, where the limit steps back down into built up streets.
  • Ten left and seven right turns, several into narrow side streets.
  • A roundabout where you give way to the right and signal left on exit.

Route Features

  • Maidstone Road and North Cray Road carry the faster, wider part of the route.
  • Estate streets near London Road in White Oak drop to 20 and 30 mph.
