Route 2114 is the longest test route at the Reading centre, 12.2 miles in about 42 minutes as a single stage, and it also has the most traffic lights of any route here at 26. It reaches Three Mile Cross, Spencers Wood, Shinfield, Earley and Lower Earley before returning to Whitley Wood, with limits from 20 up to 60 mph and 10 roundabouts.

Watch Out For

  • Twenty six signalled junctions, including busy multi lane crossings.
  • Two school areas with reduced limits and children near the kerb.
  • Three give way lines joining faster traffic.
  • Large speed changes, from 20 mph estate streets to 60 mph open road.
