A two-stage route from Butler DVS Centre, covering 11.7 km in about 24 minutes through Butler and Alkimos. This route features an extraordinary 21 roundabouts with only 3 traffic signals. Butler is one of the most roundabout-intensive test locations in Australia. Speed limits range from 50 to 70 km/h through the new suburban development.

Watch Out For

  • 21 roundabouts. One every 490 metres on average. Concentrated along Camborne Parkway and Connolly Drive. In WA, signal on entry (left for left, right for right), signal left when exiting.
  • Connolly Drive (70 km/h). The fastest section. Reach the speed limit promptly.
  • 11 left turns, 10 right turns.
  • Marmion Avenue. A busy main road connecting to the test centre area.
  • Only 3 traffic signals. Almost all intersections are roundabouts. Do not expect traffic lights to control right of way.
