Watch Out For

• 3 roundabouts in quick succession. Remember to give way to traffic coming from your right, signal left when exiting. At NZ roundabouts, signal on entry: left indicator for left exits, right for right exits, no signal for going straight.
• Main South Road intersection. This is a busy arterial road with 3 sets of traffic signals. Watch for the speed change between 50 and 60 km/h zones.
• Right-turn heavy. With 8 right turns versus 6 left turns, you will need to manage right turns across oncoming traffic carefully at uncontrolled intersections.

• At Hayton Road and Sonter Road, stay alert for parked cars narrowing the road in residential sections.
• Unlike the longer Route #277 (25 km, 46 min), this route stays compact and close to the test centre.
