A 10.5-mile route heading east from Shirley to Dorridge via Widney Lane. One of the fastest routes from this centre, reaching 60 mph on Earlswood Road. Heavy on roundabouts (11) and traffic signals (10), covering about 34 minutes.

Watch Out For

  • Earlswood Road (60 mph). You must build to near the limit. Driving 40 in a 60 zone is marked as a serious fault for not making progress.
  • Widney Manor Road. Narrow with parked cars both sides. Slow to 20-25 mph and use passing places.
  • 11 roundabouts in succession through the Monkspath Hall Road area. Quick lane changes required between roundabouts.
  • Speed-40 signs near Dorridge. Eight 40 mph signs cluster here. The speed drops from 60 to 40 quickly.
