Coolaroo #35 Pro
A 9.5 km two-stage route from Coolaroo VicRoads, taking about 19 minutes through Coolaroo and Meadow Heights. The opposite of the roundabout-heavy routes at this centre: only 1 roundabout but 52 give way junctions, by far the most at this centre. With 22 bike lanes and 7 stop signs, this route tests intersection awareness without roundabout skills. Speed reaches 80 km/h on Pascoe Vale Road.
Watch Out For
- 52 give way junctions. The highest at this centre. One every 180 metres on average. The southern Meadow Heights residential area has give way at nearly every intersection.
- 22 bike lanes. The most at this centre. The Meadow Heights corridor has heavy cyclist activity. Check mirrors before every turn.
- 7 stop signs. Concentrated in the southern residential loop. Each requires a complete stop with wheels stationary.
- Pascoe Vale Road (80 km/h). Extended high-speed section. The transition to 50 km/h residential streets is abrupt. Watch for the signs.
