The most complex route from Colchester with 14 roundabouts and 11 sets of traffic lights. Heads northeast through Hythe into the Greenstead area via St Andrew's Avenue and Eastern Approach. Despite being only 8.2 miles, it takes 31 minutes due to the sheer number of junctions.
Watch Out For
- 14 roundabouts near Greenstead Roundabout. More than any other Colchester route. Several are on St Andrew's Avenue. Watch your lane discipline and signal timing.
- 11 sets of traffic lights along Haven Road / Eastern Approach. Also the most of any route from this centre. Stay alert for light changes.
- 23 bike lane markers on St Andrew's Avenue. Check mirrors for cyclists before turning.
