This 11 km route heads northeast from Goodmayes through Grove Road and Roxy Avenue to Somerville Road, then joins Eastern Avenue heading east at 50 mph. It turns north onto Hainault Road to Painters Road in Fairlop, then loops through Aldborough Road in Barkingside to Oaks Lane. The return passes through Aldborough Road South.
Watch Out For
Eastern Avenue has a 50 mph section with two bike lanes that narrow the carriageway. Five give way junctions, particularly at Hainault Road and Aldborough Road. Four school zones near Aldborough Road South. Painters Road narrows with hedgerows on both sides.
