This 15.8 km route from Loughton takes the Debden estate roads south through Hillyfields and Burney Drive before heading to The Broadway and joining Chigwell Lane towards Abridge. After reaching Abridge village, the return goes north through Theydon Bois and back via Clays Lane and Golding's Hill.

Watch Out For

Two 40 mph speed limit zones on Chigwell Lane are easy to miss when travelling at 60 mph. The U-turn near the M11 requires careful observation of traffic from both directions. Pyrles Lane has a deceptive bend that tightens sharply, so reduce speed early.
