The route enters residential streets via Sewell Road and Finchale Road in Plumstead, then returns through Eynsham Drive. You rejoin Eastern Way at 50 mph, heading east via Picardy Manorway to Bronze Age Way. The route heads south through Erith via Picardy Road and Nuxley Road back to the centre.
Watch Out For
Seven roundabouts including the tricky ones near Abbey Road junction where visibility is limited by parked cars. Sewell Road and Finchale Road are residential with speed humps and parked vehicles narrowing the carriageway. Four pedestrian crossings near Abbey Wood station need careful approach.
