It returns west via Altrincham Road and Thorley Lane, ending through Washway Road and Moss Lane. With 6 roundabouts, 26 traffic signals, and 70 mph motorway driving, this covers more ground than almost any other Sale route.

Watch Out For

The M60 junction roundabouts have multi-lane approaches with fast traffic. Benchill and Woodhouse Lane in Wythenshawe have narrow streets with parked cars and 20 mph limits. Church Road near Northenden has a busy junction with restricted views. The 26 traffic signals demand concentration throughout the 52-minute drive.
