A 12.8 km route taking about 32 minutes, one of the longer and slower routes from Salisbury. The route heads east to London Road through Bishopdown, then north-east to the Ford area via Roman Road, before returning south through Castle Road and residential streets including Stratford Road and Ridgeway Road. With 16 left turns and 10 right turns (26 total), this is the second most turn-intensive route in this batch after Route 724.
Watch Out For
- School zone near Ford. 20 mph during school hours. The sign is easy to miss when approaching from the east.
- Second school zone at Hampton Park. Shortly after the first. Stay at 20 mph until you see the end-of-zone sign.
- Pedestrian crossings on Devizes Road approach. Three pedestrian crossings in a short stretch. Be ready to stop at each one.
- Ford Lane. Narrow rural road with limited passing space. Slow down and be prepared to give way to oncoming vehicles.
