A 14.9 km route taking about 29 minutes, the third longest from Salisbury. This is the only route in this batch that heads south, reaching Netherhampton and Harnham before returning via New Bridge Road and Churchill Way South. The route starts west on Churchill Way West and Wilton Road, passes through Harnham (Essex Square), and finishes through the eastern side of the city. The wide speed range of 20-60 mph and 9 give way junctions demand adaptability.
Watch Out For
- Give way approaching Wilton. A360 traffic moves fast. Wait for a safe gap before pulling out.
- Pedestrian crossing in Harnham. The only pedestrian crossing on this route, but it is near shops so expect frequent use.
- Harnham Road. Narrow residential road with parked cars. Speed should be 20-30 mph. Watch for doors opening.
- Roundabout at Churchill Way South/East. Busy multi-lane roundabout. Select the correct lane early and check mirrors before exiting.
