A 19.1 km route from Chester DVSA test centre, taking about 34 minutes. This route has the joint-highest roundabout count (12) and traffic light count (16) of all Chester routes, making it one of the most demanding for junction handling. It goes north via Liverpool Road through Backford, then east along Rake Lane to Longlooms Road near Cheshire Oaks, returning via Strawberry Way West.
Watch Out For
- Longlooms Road roundabouts near Cheshire Oaks. Several roundabouts in quick succession. Stay focused on lane discipline and signalling.
- Rake Lane through Backford. Rural road with 50 mph sections and limited visibility at junctions.
