An 18.4 km route from Chester DVSA test centre, taking about 34 minutes. This route has the most turns of any Chester route (9 left, 7 right) but only 3 roundabouts and 4 traffic lights. It heads south-west through Saughall and Blacon, with extensive residential driving. The route loops through the quiet streets of Greenway and Saughall Road in Blacon before returning via Parkgate Road.

Watch Out For

  • Saughall Road through Blacon. Dense residential area with 20-30 mph limits, parked cars, and frequent pedestrians.
  • Long Lane. Narrow rural lane connecting Saughall to the main road. Watch for oncoming traffic at blind bends.
  • Sherwood Road residential area. Tight streets with parked cars on both sides. May need to give way to oncoming vehicles.
  • Saughall Hey area. Speed change from 60 mph to 30 mph as you enter the village. Watch for the signs.
