A 13.6 km route from Warrington Test Centre, similar to Route 776 but with an extra roundabout (10 total) and slightly different routing through Orford, Padgate, Fearnhead, and Woolston. Takes about 25 minutes with speeds from 20 to 70 mph, including the 70 mph national speed limit stretch on Manchester Road.
Watch Out For
- Manchester Road (70 mph). National speed limit section. Build up speed smoothly and use mirrors before any overtake.
- Woolston Grange Avenue roundabouts. Several roundabouts in succession heading towards Woolston.
- Bruce Avenue area. Tight residential streets where you may need to give way to oncoming traffic between parked cars.
- Hillock Lane. Narrow lane with limited visibility at junctions. Approach with caution.
