At 7.8 miles, this is the longest Hendon route by distance. It heads north through Bunn's Lane to Mill Hill, climbs The Ridgeway and Lawrence Street to the highest point of any Hendon route, then descends via Hammers Lane and Daws Lane. The return uses Great North Way and Downage. Despite being the longest, it completes in just 26 minutes thanks to extended 50 mph sections on Watford Way. Only 1 roundabout and 6 signals, but 20 mph zones and hill driving add complexity.

Watch Out For

• The Ridgeway. Steep uphill with limited visibility over the crest; approach the top in third gear and be ready for oncoming traffic appearing suddenly.
• Hammers Lane. Downhill with a sharp bend; brake before the bend, not during it, and stay left on the curve.
• Watford Way northbound. 50 mph section where speed changes to 30 mph after the Mill Hill Circus roundabout; look for the repeater signs.
• Parson Street. Narrow residential road with blind bends; vehicles from driveways may reverse without warning.
