Watch Out For

• Brent Street. Busy local high street with shops on both sides. Double-parked cars and delivery vans narrow the road. Keep 20 mph and be ready to stop at any moment.
• Great North Way. Fast 50 mph section connecting residential Hendon to the main A41 corridor. The speed increase from 30 mph is sudden. Build up speed promptly but keep within the limit.
• Alexandra Road / Finchley Lane junction. Complex junction with multiple roads meeting. Positioning and observation are critical. The examiner will watch closely for your lane choice.

• The 6 right turns require confident positioning in the centre of the road and thorough checks of oncoming traffic. Do not turn until the road is clear.

• The transition between 50 mph on Great North Way and 30 mph entering Hendon is a common speed trap. Start slowing well before the 30 mph sign.
