A 7-mile loop north through Garston to Allerton Road, returning via Woolton Road and Dock Road. Mostly 40 mph with 20 traffic lights and 10 left turns. Two roundabouts. About 20 minutes.

Watch Out For

  • 20 sets of traffic lights. The highest count for any Speke route. Concentrated along Whitehedge Road and Mather Avenue. Keep scanning ahead for light changes.
  • Garston Old Road is narrow. Cars parked both sides. Slow to 20 mph and be ready to pull into gaps.
  • 10 left turns. Many are into residential side streets near Stamfordham Drive. Check mirrors and position early.
  • Speed-10 zone near Horrocks Avenue. Very slow zone. Do not exceed the limit.
