This 15.4 km route circles through Stevenage's new town road system. Starting from Old Town on Lytton Way, it heads east on Fairlands Way through Bedwell, then south along Monkswood Way and Broadhall Way. The route loops through the southern industrial zone on Gunnels Wood Road, before heading north via Martins Way and the A1072 back through the town centre and returning to Old Town via Drapers Way.

Watch Out For

Fifteen roundabouts make this the most roundabout-heavy route from Stevenage. The A602 and A1072 junctions are fast-flowing at 40 mph with multi-lane roundabouts requiring early lane positioning. Gunnels Wood Road has four consecutive roundabouts in quick succession. Only 5 traffic lights, so roundabout technique is the primary challenge.
