Wollongong Service NSW Driving Test Routes
About Wollongong Service Centre Driving Test Center
Location & Terrain: Located in the CBD, offering a dense urban driving test.
Traffic Conditions: Stop-start traffic with high pedestrian volumes, buses, and a complex grid system.
One-Way Streets: The CBD has a network of one-way streets. A common fail is turning right from the left lane (instead of the right lane) or turning into the wrong side of the road.
Pedestrian & Shared Zones: There are many 10km/h or 40km/h shared zones where pedestrians have absolute priority. You must scan actively for people stepping out from behind cars.
Traffic Lights: Frequent traffic lights require patience. Do not block intersections (yellow box junctions) if the traffic ahead is stationary.
Common Maneuvers: Correct positioning for turns on one-way streets, lane filtering, and strict adherence to pedestrian give-way rules.
