A 17.4 km single-stage route through the remote Pilbara mining town of Newman, completed in about 30 minutes. This is one of the longer regional routes in WA. The route has only 2 roundabouts, no traffic signals and covers residential streets plus a section of Great Northern Highway at 70 km/h.

Watch Out For

  • Great Northern Highway (70 km/h). The route joins this major highway. Ensure you reach the speed limit and watch for heavy vehicles.
  • Wonmunna Road area. The route extends south into quieter residential streets where speed drops to 50 km/h.
  • Newman Drive. Main road through town with multiple intersections requiring careful observation.
